Abandoned Australian Outback Railway Station

This small portable railway station in the red, dry mallee regions of Victoria, Australia opened in 1903 and closed as recently as 1993. The hot, dry climate has preserved this station, and it has survived the recent standardisation and rationalisation of the line. There isn’t a whole lot to see, but it gives an insight into the extremely basic yet harsh conditions that people in the region lived in until quite recently.
