Exploring an Abandoned Water Park

Another video from our adventure to Canada. We encounter Chestermere’s “Camp N’ Water Park”, an abandoned water park you can clearly see from the roadside. We pay it two visits and this is a video of our findings. The first actual video starts at 3:30
I drew a map of the park and point out where we explored. To be honest the place was pretty big and we missed a couple of parts.
History of the park: I couldn’t find out much really, which is unfortunate, nor could I find photos of the park when it was actually open. According to places around the net, the park was open for only one summer in the 80s. Possibly ’83 or ’94.
Then, a few years later, some 90 people lived there in their campers and trailers until it was shut down for good in June 2007 due to health issues that had been going on ten years or so. I believe it also closed down due to those health issues, which involved sewage leaking into the pools. Another possible reason I heard for it closing was that the slides were unstable and you could catch yourself and get hurt sliding down them.
After that it appeared to be locked up. In 2014 someone flew their drone over the park but couldn’t get in. Around 2015 I think the gates might have been forced open and today, at the time of uploading this video, you can just walk in and explore.
In May 2017 the main building in the park was burned down in a suspected arson.
The owner of the park has apparently cleared it up once but since just left it be.

Sources and information:

I do a bit of urban exploring when I find good places and if I can but this is the first video I have uploaded of it. I felt this was such a large area and also pretty cool to look at as well, definitely one of the best places I’ve explored.

*WARNING: For my regular viewers, I swear once at the beginning*
